I scored this dress last Summer in an Anthropologie sale, and it is still one of my faves… It’s a classic shirt dress with a modern print in punchy colors… plus, it has a contrast back placket which I adore. This piece perfectly fits my “classic with a twist” style…
Wearing – Anthropologie dress (similar here and here), Linea Pelle belt (old, like this one), Shoemint sandals (similar), Kate Spade bag, Michael Kors watch, Off-Fifth bracelet, Alexander McQueen skull ring, Gorjana rings (here and here), Ray-Ban sunglasses
Wearing (faux) leather leggings with your coziest sweater is a great alternative to jeans for a laid-back weekend look. I even transitioned this look to evening (a casual dinner party) by swapping the loafers for heels and adding a sheer black tank underneath instead of the white button-down.
This puffer has been in my closet since HS, but until recently it has been gathering dust toward the back. I was inspired by a few bloggers and street-style shots featuring puffer vests (like here and here), so I put this look together for the weekend. What do you think? Is the puffer the new chic topper for the weekend?
I’m sorry, but is it December in New York? Because it sure doesn’t feel that way. The legs are not meant to be seen so close to Christmas… Anyway, this is my new favorite dress. If you recall, I did a wish list for long-sleeve dresses here. Ask and you shall receive, my friends! That is, if you are lucky enough to have a mother as amazing as Mamma B. I love the combination of a classic print like houndstooth with tougher elements like leather trim and exposed zippers. I can also wear this number for work – just add tights, swap a blazer for the leather jacket, and trade in the booties for sleek pumps. Voila!
Coincidentally, after starting this post three of my guy friends wore denim vests as a joke. Let’s just say, it wasn’t pretty. So, I am giving you three fun and funky ways to rock the denim vest, but… just don’t lend it to the boys. For the first look, I took a classic, white lace dress and added trendy pieces, like the vest, a neon belt, and chevron print platform sandals. The next look is more casual. I mixed dark denim jeans with the lighter denim vest, then added a cool, skull tank and white brogues. Add some color with a bold, orange bag like this gorgeous one from Rebecca Minkoff. For the last look, I layered the vest with a star-print maxi and a pink slouchy tank. Wear chic ankle booties to complete the look. Will you be layering with a denim vest this Spring/Summer? Which style is your favorite? You can purchase the denim vest featured above at Madewell for $88!
I’m terrified of snakes, but you gotta hand it to them because they’ve got serious style. I’ve had this blouse in my closet for a few weeks, and I’m glad I finally pulled it out because I got a lot of compliments on it. What’s even better is the fact that I purchased it at H&M for just $9.99! Can you say steal? On another note, I am in love with these black jeans, from James Jeans Couture Collection. I won them in a giveaway, and they are probably the most flattering and comfortable denim I own. I highly recommend them if you are in the market for a new pair of jeans. Have a great day!
My mind is possessed with thoughts of sunshine due to my upcoming Spring Break. Unfortunately, I have an unusually small head (believe me, strangers have pointed this out), so sunglasses are a difficult accessory for me. That said, here are some pairs that I would add to my collection if my head and my wallet would allow it…
