A couple weeks ago, the manfriend and I went to Gloucester for the weekend. The weather was gorgeous and our spot on the water was incredible. After a casual brunch, we took these pics on the roof so we could take in the whole view!
While I make the transition from New York to Boston, my wardrobe is making the transition from Winter to Spring. I love to wear my cozy winter knits over a skirt or dress while the weather is still warming up. I added a pretty floral scarf for some color and kept my diva shades on hand for when the sun was shining! How do you transition your look from Winter to Spring?

I couldn’t wait any longer to break out this amazing, floral See by Chloe jacket that’s been hanging in my closet for months! I love the unexpected combination of a sporty parka with a pretty floral print, and since I don’t typically dress super feminine, this is a perfect piece for me to incorporate florals into my Spring wardrobe without feeling too girly. I can’t wait for it to be warm enough to have this jacket in my regular rotation!
Wearing – James Jeans, Top via Urban Outfitters (lusting over this one), See by Chloe jacket (similar), Steve Madden booties (old), Rebecca Minkoff bag (last seen here), vintage belt, Ray Ban sunnies, J.Crew bracelets, vintage and Gorjana rings (here and here), Anthropologie earrings

Picked up this dress on sale at Aritzia a couple weeks ago… I was drawn in by the colors and print which promised seasonal versatility, but the real clincher for me was the back – I’m a sucker for an exposed zipper and an unexpectedly low back, and this piece has both. And it was on sale. Done deal, my friends.
Since the weather isn’t exactly cooperating with the calendar, I paired this floral number with suede boots – but I can’t wait to wear it with sandals or wedges when the temperatures go up! Until then… Have a great weekend, everyone!
Wearing – T. Babaton dress via Aritzia (like this too), Silence & Noise blazer, Calvin Klein boots (old, similar), vintage belt, Chocolate New York clutch (love this one), Michael Kors watch, J. Crew bracelets (here)

In my Mother’s continued efforts to make me a hat person, I received this straw topper a couple of weeks ago… She discovered a website that offers sizes, thereby providing accommodation for my unusually small head. It’s not that I don’t like hats, I’m just not convinced they look good on me… However, one of my favorite things about fashion is that you can take risks, try new things, and if they don’t work then you can move on and laugh about it later. Although… Maybe my Mom is
always right… I do think this straw hat and floral scarf will become go-to Spring accessories for me. What accessories are you dying to wear all Spring?
Wearing – James Jeans, Tunic blouse via Marshalls (love this one), Jessica Simpson booties (similar), Pins and Needles scarf (old, like this one), Hat (gifted, similar), Michael Kors watch, Gorjana rings (here and here), Bracelets via Gilt, vintage, and Off-Fifth

It is no secret that I love a maxi dress/skirt/anything… It is an insanely comfortable, yet feminine look that can easily transition from season to season. In the Fall, I layer up my maxis with sweaters, scarfs, jackets, fur, tights, etc. and add boots or booties. I wore this dress for a night out recently with a leather jacket, a statement necklace and heeled booties. For day, however, I opted for a more casual denim jacket and scarf combination. What do you think?

I took my last college final this morning! This is what I wore… Excuse the hair, I had a long day of
sunbathing, er studying yesterday. Also, the manfriend took these shots while I was packing up some of my apartment. Some (or all) of them are very unprofessional… 🙂
The manfriend: “Hehehe butt shot”… Followed shortly by my ‘grow-up look’: (signature look, don’t even try to copy)
What can I say, we have our fun. Anyway, now that I am officially done with finals, my friends and I are headed to the beach for the weekend! Hopefully I will get lots of photos to share. Have a great weekend!

I am proud to say the white blazer has made it from the shopping bag to my body, AND, thus far, I have managed to keep it clean. I like the studded belt with this because it is unexpected, and it toughens up such a feminine, floral dress. When I am tired or have a busy week I tend to reach for easy, breezy dresses and pair them with comfortable flats or booties. This makes for a chic daytime look without lots of fuss. Hope you are also having a fuss-free fashion week!
We went out on Saturday night… I kept the accessories simple and added a leather jacket to face the chill outside. I picked this dress up a few weeks ago on sale for $10! [Bargain shopping=the life of a student.] This dress reminds me of a negligee, no? Are you on board with the pajama/lingerie inspired clothes or do you want that trend to be put to sleep? Yup, I went there. Hope you all had a great weekend!
